Who it suits
Businesses that have outgrown a monthly bookkeeping package and want someone senior reviewing the numbers regularly, ownership groups making a real decision (raising capital, taking on debt, buying another business, or building a real budget for the first time) who want the analysis done by people who already know the company, and businesses whose lender, investors, or board expect GAAP-basis reporting.
FAQ
Common questions
What's the difference between a bookkeeper, a controller, and a CFO?
A bookkeeper records what happened. A controller reviews the bookkeeping for accuracy and owns the close process. A CFO uses those numbers to plan what happens next, including budgets, forecasts, and the decisions that come with growth, financing, or a sale. Most businesses need the first before they need the third.
Do I need to switch bookkeepers to get a fractional CFO?
No. A fractional CFO engagement is scoped and billed as its own service and can work alongside your existing bookkeeping, whether that's with us or elsewhere.
Can you help prepare financials for a loan or SBA application?
Yes. We put together the financial package a lender asks for, including support with SBA loan applications.
Do you help with due diligence if we're buying another business?
Yes, on the financial side. We support the numbers portion of due diligence during an acquisition.
Do you prepare GAAP-basis financial statements?
Yes. We prepare GAAP-basis financial statements for internal, lender, and investor use, and we track the book-to-tax differences that come with them. We don't issue attest opinions on financial statements; audits, reviews, and compilations are referred to a partner firm that specializes in them.
